LE BLE DU COEUR

Le Blé du Cœur is a non-profit, public-interest organization dedicated to the upcycling of unsold bread. In collaboration with around thirty fellow Arts et Métiers engineering students, we designed and built the FlourBox: a containerized, connected, and autonomous micro-factory that industrially transforms unsold bread into eco-responsible, solidarity-based flour. The production model and the upcycling process were validated through a partnership with the industrial group Poulaillon, Carrefour Group, La Poste Group, the French Food Banks ("Les Banques Alimentaires"), and the ISARA laboratory. With the support of the Fédération des Entreprises de Boulangerie (FEB) and public authorities, our ambition is to structure and deploy a national value chain for the revalorization of unsold bread, with the dual objective of reducing food waste and supporting people facing food insecurity. We will be present at the FEB stand (Stand E20) from January 18 to January 21, 2026, to present the FlourBox and our operating model.
