Uchronia

Fondateur

Julien Sebban is the founder and artistic director of Uchronia, a multidisciplinary design collective based in Paris. Founded in 2019, Uchronia blurs the boundaries between architecture, interior design, scenography, and collectible furniture, creating immersive and emotional environments inspired by the idea of “fictional time.” Julien’s bold and joyful approach draws on his passion for color, expressive forms, and craftsmanship. Under his direction, Uchronia has redefined the codes of contemporary hospitality and experiential design through projects ranging from restaurants and boutiques to private residences, intimate hotels, and monumental installations. The studio gained recognition for its transformation of the restaurant and bookstore at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, and has since delivered acclaimed projects for Coachella, Paris Design Week, and many other international events. Each space is conceived as a living narrative—a sensory experience rich in storytelling that invites exploration. Alongside its spatial projects, Uchronia develops Univers Uchronia, a self-produced furniture collection entirely made in France, celebrating artisanal craftsmanship and creative experimentation. With a free and narrative-driven vision, Julien Sebban and Uchronia are reimagining the way we inhabit and experience space—with boldness, lightness, and meaning.
