After studying agriculture and computer science, Jean-François Loiseau took over the family farm in 1989. In 1996, he became president of the La Franciade cooperative and contributed to the creation of Axéréal — now an international group operating in 27 countries, and France’s leading grain collection organization, as well as a major player in malting and milling. The group has also developed industrial partnerships with Mars (Ebly), Tereos (biofuels), and more recently Intact (plant-based proteins).
In parallel, he chaired the French cereal industry from 2016 to 2024, founded Intercéréales in 2022, and resumed the presidency of the ANMF in 2019 to unite milling unions. Since June 2024, he has served as president of ANIA (the French National Association of Food Industries).
A graduate of the IHEDN (Institute for Higher National Defense Studies), Jean-François Loiseau stands out as a key figure in the French agri-food industry.
